What happens after you call

Most families tell us the hardest part was not knowing what came next. Here is the whole process, start to finish, with no surprises in it.

The process

Five steps, and we do most of the work

There is no waitlist. The timings below are what we aim for and what most families experience.

  1. Contact us

A free consultation, by phone or through the form. You tell us about your child, what is hardest right now, and what you are hoping therapy will help with. Nothing is committed at this stage.

You do not need a diagnosis in hand to make this call. If your child does not have one yet, we will tell you how that works.

Same day or next business day
  2. We verify your benefits

Give us your insurance information and we check your ABA coverage directly with your plan — at no cost to you, whether or not you go ahead. We come back with what is covered, what is not, and what your responsibility would be.

We handle prior authorization from here on, along with re-authorizations, claims and appeals.

    Within 48 hours
  3. BCBA assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst meets your child and your family, observes directly, and talks with you about priorities. This is where the real picture forms — not from a form, but from watching your child and listening to you.

    Usually within 1–2 weeks
  4. A personalized treatment plan

Your BCBA writes goals around what your family actually needs, and recommends an intensity — comprehensive programs typically run 25–40 hours a week, focused programs 10–15. That recommendation comes from the assessment, never decided in advance.

You review it together before anything starts. If something on it is not a priority for your family, say so.

  5. Therapy begins

One-to-one sessions start in your home and community, with data collected every session and reviewed with you. The plan changes when the data says it should.

What helps to have handy

None of this is required to start the conversation — it just speeds up the benefits check.

Your insurance cardThe member ID and group number are what we need to verify coverage.
Any diagnostic reportIf your child has been evaluated. Most insurers require a formal ASD diagnosis.
Your child’s school contactOnly if you want us to coordinate with their classroom team.
Your three biggest prioritiesWhat would make the most difference to your family day-to-day?

A note on sharing details. Please don’t send diagnoses, medication lists or insurance ID numbers by chat or ordinary email. Use the secure intake form, or give them over the phone on (972) 379-9131. Our assistant on this site is deliberately not able to take that information.

Common questions

Before you get started

Most insurers require a formal ASD diagnosis before they will cover ABA. If your child does not have one, we connect you with trusted diagnostic partners in DFW and guide you through that step — you do not have to work it out alone.

Benefits are verified within 48 hours and assessment usually happens within one to two weeks. There is no waitlist.

Comprehensive therapy typically runs 25–40 hours a week and focused therapy 10–15, but the right number for your child comes from the BCBA assessment. Anyone who gives you a figure before meeting your child is guessing.

Then the consultation is exactly the right call to make. It is free, nothing is committed, and if we are not the right fit we will say so.

One-to-one work with a trained therapist under BCBA supervision: structured teaching, play-based learning and positive reinforcement targeting your child's goals, with data collected every session.
